    “Volcanarium” is an interactive educational museum dedicated to the volcanoes of Kamchatka and volcanoes of the whole world. Here you can learn all about the activities of volcanoes and even see what happens in their bowels. In addition to rock samples and rich photo and video material, the exposition includes unique working physical models of lava flows that convey the unusual atmosphere of Kamchatka’s natural wonders.

    On the famous “Hill of Love” you can walk around the Nikolskaya Hill park and admire the beautiful Kamchatka landscapes. Our guide will give you a historical tour of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and show you local historical monuments.

    From the observation deck a wonderful panorama of the Avachinskaya Bay, volcanoes and the coastal part of the city opens. The guide will tell you about the natural monuments of Kamchatka as well as about the “hornet's nest” famous among the American military. It is located on the opposite side of the observation platform.

    5 / Khalaktirskiy Beach

    On the shore of the Pacific Ocean you will meet black volcanic sand and a panoramic view of three home volcanoes: Avachinsky, Koryaksky and Kozelsky, behind which you can also see the Zhupanovsky volcano. Black sand is a rare phenomenon caused by constant volcanic eruptions on the peninsula. Lava and slag flows pour and freeze on the slopes and neighboring territories. The fast rivers that originate in glaciers erode this mineral-rich rock year after year and carry it into the ocean from where small particles are carried ashore by the waves.
    After walking with the fresh air you will definitely want to have a nice lunch. In addition to meat and fish platter with dessert, you will have a great opportunity to taste Kamchatka salmon – a world famous delicacy. Fish is served with rice. Lunch is packed in individual lunch boxes.
